Will Young keeps them coming, with the latest video from his album 85% Proof - Dan Henshaw's stylish and poignant promo for Joy. And once again Will gives a wholehearted and winning performance, this time in the role of a human-scale mannequin who comes alive in what first appears to be a lifesize 1950s dolls house.Â
But things are not quite as they seem. The viewpoint pulls away to reveal a banal facsimile of family life on a remote airport strip, and the full truth of this bizarre set-up, that it lies in the path of an atomic bomb test, is revealed in the final moments. Joy is fleeting indeed...
