Javier Alejandro, director of videos for Krept & Konan and Modestep, has now joined the roster at FAMILIA, and his first video is this bold, uncluttered monochromatic work for Kwabs' My Own.
JAVIER ALEJANDRO:
"Right from the offset I wanted to keep this idea bold yet simple. Set in a stripped back environment where Kwabs could give us a passionate, honest performance.Â
"When I first listened to the track, I got the impression that he was telling a story of how one can be locked out of a relationship. So with this in mind, I wanted to create a video which was metaphoric and relatable. The choice to stay or to leave, constantly cutting between light and dark."Â
