The Ramona Flowers 'Start to Rust' by James Francis
Cat Velez - 15th Nov 2016
Falling out of love looks mesmerisingly beautiful in these visuals for The Ramona Flowers's track Start to Rust, directed by motion graphics expert James Francis.
In it, the viewer falls through a dazzling and hypnotic array of geometric shapes, hovering above masterfully rendered, otherwordly terrains. With a reduced palette of rocky greys, deep-space black and shapeshifting gold, the rhythmic and solemn graphic sequences - wonderfully detailed and fast-paced, are layered against slow-motion clips of gymnasts in freefall.
The resulting video is a combination of geometric shapes, eye-pleasing imagery and a heartfelt performance by the band's frontman Steve Bird.Â
