Sophie Jones’s first official music video under the Darkroom banner - Partizan's reactivated division for up and coming talent – is her second collaboration with artist Roses Gabor.Â
The promo for I Could Be Yours is a dreamlike sequence of vignettes, set in sun-kissed countryside, which juxtaposes idyllic bliss with pure aggression.
While Roses gazes through a car windscreen, bare-chested dancers execute a battle, drawn out in slow motion, which leaves the viewer to focus on the details of the movement.
Following on from the striking casting of her previous Gabor video for Illusions, this features an array of unusual faces and figures, and Sophie Jones's very considered approach and pacing allows the artist performance of the song some room to gradually take centre stage in the piece.
