The rollercoaster ride of relationships is explored in Daniel Brereton's video for Ritual.

A group of couples on a neon-washed dancefloor contains a complex web of emotion, gradually revealed as we dive into the backstories of each couple - their good times, and their hard times. 

While the talented cast all give strong performances, and Evelin van Rei's cinematography brings out the distinctiveness of each relationship, Brereton's perspective on the human condition makes the case for strengthening your own relationship, with some help from your friends.

DANIEL BRERETON:

"The idea was to document the ups and downs of relationships, and how lives are tangled up in each other’s loves and losses. The location added to the mood of the piece, with slate grey skies, blue nightclubs and wallpapered bedrooms representing the hard times people go through in love.

"I was keen to work with Evelin van Rei, who is a great cinematographer, and she captured some beautiful, tactile images for our story."
