Silent Tapes brings us a beautifully melancholic new video for Celeste's memorable song Strange.
The imagery here hovers between dreamlike and nightmarish, as Celeste walks towards us in slowmotion on a nighttime road lit up with flames - what we gradually gather to be the feiry remnants of a devastating car crash. As the song ponders the arc of a relationship, we witness the impact itself and move backwards in time, as in the present Celeste walks forward.Â
Its another superbly-crafted video to cement the reputation of Silent Tapes as among the outstanding young directors working in music videos right now.Â
