Mimi Cave has directed a trilogy of live performance videos for Long Beach band half.alive, captured in performance with a fifteen-piece orchestra at the Capitol Studios in Los Angeles - before lockdown, of course. 

In each piece, Cave and her DoP Tom Banks make excellent use of an intimate space, utilising smooth and steady camera movement by Steadicam op Chris Loh, who weaves between the musicians, creating an easy-going yet exciting aesthetic.

Characteristically the choreographer-turned-director also punctuates the performance element with unfussy choreography and other artistic elements. She has taken the reworked the tracks - including the 2018 hit Still Feel - and supercharged them into three consummate promos, with zesty energy and pure artistic passion.
