Thomas Davis continues his collaboration with alternative dance threesome NOISY, with the video for Put A Record On. 

Featuring actress and model Miki Davis - and very little of the NOISY boys - the video is built around a lip-sync performance, shot on the hottest day of the year so far. 

DoP Luke C Harper uses 16mm film and ramped shutter speeds to create a nostalgic and frantic vibe, perfectly matching the in-your-face style of the track.

We knew exactly the ‘type’ of girl we wanted. Miki came in and just raised the bar.

"Cody (NOISY front man) first played me Put A Record On when we were editing the video for Bring the Drums Back. Unmixed and mastered the song still sounded massive! Immediately, we knew that we needed to make a video that felt original and euphoric, displaying a real 'pick me up' vibe on screen.

"We wanted to create something that left the viewer indulged in the world of the song. We came up with the idea of having a girl just perform all of Cody’s vocal to the camera. As if she was taking on the full role of the band’s front man.

"As new shooting regulations kicked in, we tried to make the idea work in a COVID friendly way, by only have one female lead, in one controlled location. The idea, then just grew and fell into place from there.

"The casting process was exciting, we knew exactly the ‘type’ of girl we wanted. Miki, came in and just raised the bar. From her first tape to the rehearsal, she just straight off understood the project and the vision. It all just clicked into place.
