Haley Elizabeth Anderson directs a stunning promo for Jennifer Hudson's Here I Am (Singing My Way Home), an original track from the artist's upcoming lead role in Aretha Franklin biopic Respect. 

Visualising Aretha Franklin's own journey from singing in her Father's church choir to becoming an international superstar, the video interweaves black and white narrative vignettes with clips from the film, stopping by some of the iconic locations along the way. 

The video is quite fittingly focused on performance, and Hudson is mesmerising to watch, both in the most explosive and unrestrained moments in the track, and the more subtle, gentle breaks. 

The classic, documentary-style cinematography lends a timeless feel to the visuals, which match the undoubtedly enduring qualities of the original song.
