Emmanuelle Soffé takes us back to disco’s roots, in her video for Scottish DJ duo LF System.
The video for Afraid To Feel plays on the song’s disco heritage, dropping us into the middle of a 70's-inspired dancefloor, full of nods to the Hispanic, Latinx and Black Queer communities that first brought disco to the fore, with particular influence from ballroom dancing and voguing.
The atmospheric cinematography, flamboyant performances and chromatic styling elevate the feel-good concept, ending on a celebratory, proud note.
