KC Locke teams up with Aitch for another high-concept promo, this time for In Disguise, featuring Bakar. 

The video spans a number of dynamic vignettes, effortlessly blending narrative and performance, tied together with vibrant grading.

It's a new look for Aitch, keeping things fresh and unexpected after several successful collaborations with KC Locke - as KC explains.

"Aitch wanted to switch up the vibe on this one and bring a more rock emo feeling to the video," he says. "The song is about a girl who pays Aitch no attention but secretly she’s a super fan
. We created a fun narrative with a rock band performance element - which was new for me too.

We motion-captured Aitch’s body movements which was then tracked to our CGI teddy bear. 

"Aitch wanted some toy teddy bears at the intro of the video, then during the treatment-writing process I decided to try bring the teddy bear to life with guidance from our VFX team.

"We motion-captured Aitch’s body movements which was then tracked to our CGI teddy bear - this was also another way of showing Aitch in disguise as an actual teddy bear too. After the intro we show both Aitch and the teddy bear up to no good in our living room scene with our female actress, who is not impressed by their antics. 

"We shot the whole video in our studio in Manchester, and got through 7 scenes in one day, which wouldn’t have been possible without having our own dedicated studio facilities. Production designer Jenny O’Sullivan worked really hard turning all the sets around in a few days with her construction team and we all really love the results.

"The whole team worked really hard bringing this together from producer and production to DoP, lighting, edit and colour grade, which all blended seamlessly together."
