Waley Wang directs a stirring promo for Christian Lee Hutson, which sees the singer-songwriter and bandmates perform on a 360 degree rotating platform, in the centre of Washington Square Park in New York.Â
The elevated live performance of Strawberry Lemonade subtly transforms into a melancholy of recalled memories and mourned connections, with the location of the rotating platform moving uptown to Central Park, and leading into the guitar solo section.Â
Balancing a clever central concept with an unexpected flourish of abstract narrative, the video emanates a bittersweet vibe, which runs straight through the track - which was produced by Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst - and the visuals.Â
