Things go terribly wrong for psychedelic rock band Moon Balloon, in Michael Upson's comically tragic promo for Everything Nice. 

The band are revealed in an early scene to be gift-wrapped especially for a little girl's birthday. But when it times come to open up the presents, it's safe to say she is not impressed. 

Cue a montage of bad makeup, food in all the wrong places and an outburst of violence, all captured in a pastel-washed aesthetic. 

With a suitably moody and unhinged central performance - we all know what kids can be like on their birthdays - the group do a perfect job of letting themselves be living dolls, and Upson's eye for the uncanny creates a perfect blend of comedy, tragedy and apathy.
