Little Simz and Dave Meyers. Yes, it's happened - and it's amazing. This is an utterly brilliant video, for Simz's Gorilla. Unquestionably one of the best of the year so far.
Dave Meyers does what he has done so well for so long: bringing a book full of jawdropping visual ideas and executing them to perfection, with the considerable assistance of a great team. But at the end of the day, you just get the sense that this would not work half as well without the sheer high voltage charisma of the artist otherwise known as Simbiatu Abisola Abiola Ajikawo.
Little Simz is just fantastic in this. It's a vehicle that is worthy of her talent, and just shows how great she is. In fact, it takes her to the next level. It just demonstrates that in terms of British artists at the moment, she really has no peer.
So presumably she's headlining the Pyramid at Glasto this weekend, right...?
