Matthew Grass directs a poignant reflection on lost love for UK indie band The Manatees, featuring actor Abigail Lawrie. 

In the video for Better Way To Think Of It, the director presents the idyllic summer's day out of a young couple, played by Lawrie and Manatees lead singer Jay, where despite their chemistry and mutual attraction, the spark of true romance is elusive. 

The narrative elements are interwoven into an emotionally-charged performance, all presented in a warmly nostalgic aesthetic punctuated by a summery colour palette and scenic coastal location.

"Better Way To Think Of It is the summation of 'right place, wrong time'," says Grass. "The song delves into the complexities experienced in a relationship strained by distance. The music video presents the next page of the story. It focuses on the scars left behind from relationships and the dichotomy of the healing process.

"On one hand we can get caught living in the past and letting it control us; on the other, we find peace with the memories that were created."
