Rebecca Phillips self-directs the hyperstylised promo for Teriyaki - a a hypnotic trip through the artist's mind.
Showcasing a deliciously surreal aesthetic and eccentric performance vignettes, the video is a bold vision and an absolutely captivating watch. And a great introduction to anyone who might be new to Phillips' art.
"The video utilises intrusive zoom and fisheye-lenses oscillating between an eye watering, almost sickly, primary colour palette and a stark monochrome in a surrealistic white throat," explains Phillips of the concept.
"Pleasure vies with pain and the woman becomes increasingly frantic as she is fed slabs of raw meat, in a claustrophobic, voyeuristic spectacle."
