Ben Phillippo directs a supernatural promo for singer Peggy, playing a young woman drawn into a fantasy.

In the video for Alice, a young woman's daydreams are more compelling than her drab reality, and we see fantastical visions bleed through to the real world. When she chases a vision down the proverbial rabbit hole, will she ever be the same?

This ethereal space between reality and fiction provides plenty of emotional highs and lows, and the exploration of the darker side of fantasies is a compelling perspective.

"Collaborating with Peggy on the video for Alice, she told me the song was about maladaptive daydreaming, a psychological condition where daydreams overtake a person's reality," explains director Ben Phillipo.

"It's a form of dissociation where one spends hours living in an imagined world complete with recurring characters and storylines that can continue for years. The real world often pales by comparison, so the temptation to spend time daydreaming grows stronger over time.

"Peggy and I worked together to create a narrative inspired by this condition, following a character who delves into her daydream, perhaps too deeply."
