Troy Roscoe directs a turbulent promo for Afrobeat star Black Sherif and Mabel, spanning a series of riotous vignettes, in elevated, enigmatic locations.

Boasting a surreal atmosphere - achieved through off-kilter composition and abstract lighting - the video for Zero is a fresh and rousing feat, with brilliant performances and characteristically confident direction by Troy Roscoe.  

"We aimed to establish a striking contrast between the serene demeanour of the artists and the chaotic background," Roscoe explains. "While the artists remained relaxed and composed, unaffected by the turmoil surrounding them, the background characters engaged in heated arguments, hair-pulling, and food throwing.

"To emphasize this dynamic, we shot a significant portion of the video with static frames, enhancing the overall artistic aesthetic."
