Evan Lawday throws the kitchen sink, pretty much, at the video for his band Spitting Image, as they fall ever further into a stew of mixed media ideas. 

Conceived by smushing three music video ideas together, the video for Way It Goes morphs into something new and unexpected every few seconds. Blending jank puppetry, stop motion collage work and an anachronistic gameshow concept, the lo-fi visual encapsulates the manic soundscapes in the track, and just keeps on delivering a lo-fi hotchpotch of images.

Anchored by fully-immersed performances, the visual is packed to the brim with ideas, but never feels uninspired. Quite the opposite, in fact. It's a genuine feat - and thoroughly entertaining.
