Maegan Houang reunites with Mitski to create an absorbing promo, inspired by classic Hollywood. 

In the video for Star, we see Mitski in a rowing boat on a river at night, searching for light as the boat floats through this mist-shrouded body of water. 

Beautifully shot in the manner of a black and white Hollywood movie of the 1940s and '50s by DoP Christopher Ripley, the video makes great use of perspective and art direction to build out the location, whilst Mitski's performance is, as always, utterly captivating.
