After spending the past year directing an upcoming feature, Oscar Sansom returns to music video and reunites with longtime collaborators Biffy Clyro, delivering a blistering video for the second single from the band's forthcoming album Futique.

The video for Hunting Season puts you in the POV of the band in a raw and energetic performance merged with some striking visual motifs. The result is bold and cinematic, with some unexpected surprises along the way. It shows that this longstanding creative collaboration continues to break new ground.

“In our early discussions [Biffy Clyro frontman] Simon Neil spoke about the inspiration for the song. About how much people are ready to judge others from a distance in modern society; if you put your head above the parapet there is always someone ready to shoot you down.

"This got me thinking about critics, both external and internal and how the experience of creating art can change once it is tainted by the commercial world. Suddenly art and the artist becomes a product, an object to be consumed and to be judged. Something that once felt freeing and liberating as an experience can sometimes start to feel stifling. The idea of seeking to stand up in the face of this really resonated with me…”
