Jim Longden directs a scintillating merging of docu-style footage with performance and post production for Bakar, resulting in an epic document of the artist at a crucial point in his career. 

The video for Bleach was shot between Tokyo and London, with Longden taking on production as well as directing roles, with support from his friends at Twin Brains in Japan and GLC Studio in London, as the shoot spanned over multiple days across Japan and England.

Jim and the cinematographers spent hours capturing low FPS footage to go behind the subject on the green-screen. And the result is a visual that's fast-paced, even frantic, yet introspective, playing out like a fever dream, switching between lingering cityscapes and speed-ramped performance, broadly connected by the idea of human connection and spaces. 

Executed beautifully, the video feels like a vibrant slice of life, echoing the dichotomy of the everyday.
