Girli 'Slap On The Wrist' by Sarah Dattani Tucker, Eliza Hatch
Rob Ulitski - 4th Feb 2026
Sarah Dattani Tucker and Eliza Hatch co-direct a powerful visual for Girli, in collaboration with feminist platform Cheer Up Luv.Â
The video for Slap On The Wrist is rooted in real stories and lived experiences, confronting the everyday reality of sexual harassment and assault faced by women and gender minorities.
Using location to anchor the concept, the video presents a montage of different performers standing alongside captions, detailing how everyday spaces are tainted by recollections of harassment and assault. Bookended with facts, figures and important context, it's a powerful visual that many viewers will relate to, and a testament to friendship, love and community.Â
Cheer Up Luv is a UK-based platform dedicated to ending gender-based violence, discrimination and bias through education, art and storytelling, led by award-winning feminist photographer and educator Eliza Hatch. You can find out more information on their website.Â
