Jake Erland directs an intense promo for&nbsp;Beabadoobee, taking her message straight into a constantly moving camera.&nbsp;The video for Sun Has Set is presented in a frantic POV perspective,&nbsp;the camera being the person in a relentless conversation with Bea. In fact, she is so forceful, that the POV is always trying to take evasive action, even leaping from a motel balcony, taking refuge&nbsp;in a car (while she smashes the windscreen) and&nbsp;running away to open countryside when she storms out of a police car&nbsp;for another confrontation.It's a cool way to visualise&nbsp;the rollercoaster emotions of a relationship through action-packed, horror-tinged vignettes. Maxim Kelly once again demonstrates that making&nbsp;AI work in the creative space requires real intelligence.&nbsp;Kelly's video for Purple Disco Machine&nbsp;is a love letter to Pacha, the legendary Ibiza nightclub, by revisiting its&nbsp;humble beginnings as a holiday hangout for an eclectic variety of likeminded souls, back in the 1970s.His raw materials for the video for Disco Cherry&nbsp;was original archive footage, mostly photographs, of those days, supplied by the good folks at&nbsp;Pacha.&nbsp;In a similar way to Andrew Dominik's video last year for <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnDm9w2F3KE" target="_blank">Nick Cave &amp; The Bad Seeds'&nbsp;Tupelo</a>, Kelly brings these images to life with a sensitive eye. It's illuminating - and also witty. Like in his recent AI-gen videos for Archive, he creates a narrative that is full of mordant, absurd humour.And if you're not looking for that stuff, you can also dig the vintage vibe, the sense of fun in the original Pacha bar, full of&nbsp;warm textures, groovy dancing and somewhat startling portraiture. And what's more, it's a suitably funky visual for the feelgood track.&nbsp;

Louis Bhose reintroduces John Newman to the world with a touch of self-mockery, as the soul singer meets the contenders who are auditioning to be him in his upcoming comeback.The video for Merry Go starts in an intriguing fashion with Newman welcomed at a film studio by his manager with the words: 'Welcome to Hell'. It turns out he is encountering&nbsp;an assortment of odd characters who are 'playing' John Newman.It's an engaging satire of the pop business and the real John Newman gives a nicely judged performance observing the activity around him with occasional alarm but mostly resigned equanimity. And finally, he gets involved himself, taking his own place in the group of 'John Newmans' for a dance routine.&nbsp;So this a very welcome return to videos by Louis Bhose too. He is a director with genuine funny bones, who relishes bringing surprising ideas to life.&nbsp;And he's certainly done that here.&nbsp; &nbsp; "John was very clear from the off that he wanted to play with the idea of a big comeback, and the idea of lots of people auditioning to be him was a fun one," says Bhose. "He even went as far as digging out all his iconic jackets from the loft, and letting our supporting cast wear them."I always liked the idea that after an offbeat series of auditions, there would be a fun, sweet moment where they all came together. And so came Harry Price's great choreo - which everyone (including me) learned. Having not made a vid for 18 months&nbsp;or so, it was a really fun one to get back into the groove with. Taz Tron Delix directs the ethereal promo for Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding's collab on Miracle.&nbsp;The otherworldly video is inspired by the&nbsp;Nineties-style&nbsp;trance elements in the track, exploring&nbsp;a futuristic clash of desert landscapes, anachronistic styling and mysterious movement, revitalising and contemporising the transcendent aesthetics that were born out of the original movement.&nbsp;[imgtoken data:1]The video cuts between Ellie wearing a jewelry filled tiara and leather outfit with the look of a powerful Queen on an elevated platform surrounded by what appears to be worshippers in sleek beige suits and balaclavas. Max Siedentopf's new music video for Keinemusik takes the German pun of the 'ear worm'&nbsp;to a whole new level.Director and artist Max Siedentopf is known for his conceptual, whimsical and refreshingly humorous work, and this video delivers the same idiosyncratic energy we have grown to love.&nbsp;Whilst&nbsp;the lyrics are about love, Siedentopf spins the concept in a completely different direction, and what seems to be taken out of context remains in the memory like a good catchy tune.[imgtoken data:1]We open on a bald, middle-aged man ready to feed his pet gecko, before a worm squirms its way into his ear. The man immediately loses his mind, smashing through the wall to the next apartment and flopping over the balcony, falling and bouncing off of a car.&nbsp;As he swivels and gyrates down the street - much like a worm would - passers by also start to lose their minds, as their bodies distort, crush and amalagamate.&nbsp; Shot in Berlin on 16mm, the scenes look weird but cinematic, and build to an absolutely oddball climax.&nbsp;
