Directing duo The Rest channel serious Nineties vibes in their sweet and breezy promo for Mahalia's delightful Whenever You're Ready.
The video - shot entirely on the Xiaomi Mi 11 Series phone - flips the script on the lyrics, reintrepreting the love interest as a friend who has grown detached from her group. It takes a heart-to-heart chat on the phone to get the fourth member of Team Mahalia to get back in the gang Â
Paying homage to iconic videos from her youth, Mahalia exudes zesty, laidback energy and plenty of confidence to boot, ably supported by her girlfriends - Taitlyn and Kaylee Jaiy, and Demi Rox - whilst the effervescent visual is absorbingly nostalgic throughout.Â
