Tom Misch ft De La Soul 'It Runs Through Me' by Joshua Osborne

Promonews - 15th Oct 2018
Joshua Osborne's latest video for Tom Misch puts him at the heart of a very groovy, funk-era recording session with his band. And De La Soul's Posdnuos relays his performance via an old tube TV set. The result is a piece for It Runs Through Me with a wonderfully blissful vibe.   Â
JOSHUA OSBORNE:
"The message behind the track is about the feeling that music gives people and how it flows right through them, this is what I wanted to focus on within this video.
"Taking inspiration from Stan Douglas' film Luanda Kinshasa, we shot Tom with his live band at a recording studio in South London, emulating the live session atmosphere whilst incorporating hints of narrative throughout.
"The song reminded me of the funk/soul era. So through styling and art direction we celebrated that time and stripped everything back, letting the music and energy lead the film."
