The Divine Comedy 'Queuejumper' by Jack Lightfoot
David Knight - 17th Apr 2019
Neil Hannon and the Divine Comedy are back with Queuejumper, a jaunty takedown of boorish behaviour, and the video from Jack Lightfoot is an unpretentious homage to early music video aesthetic: white syc, lyric-appropriate props, the band in suits... and of course, shot on video.
We're talking things like this...
JACK LIGHTFOOT:
To keep it authentic as possible, we shot on a three-tube analogue video camera - the Sony BVP3
"Neil came to me with a very clear creative vision, and it was great fun bringing it all to life. We were keen to create that studio look that came out of New Wave in the late 70s/early 80s. To keep it all authentic as possible, we shot on a three-tube analogue video camera - the Sony BVP3 - and took full advantage of the zoom lens."
