L Devine bemoans the monotony of day-to-day life in Anna Radchenko's video for Boring People.Â
Going through the motions of a typical pop-star, Devine seems to have a packed schedule full of exciting moments- attending house parties, participating in photo shoots, eating ice cream whenever she likes. But as the camera pulls back in each setting, it reveals how truly bored she is beneath the Instagram pictures and jetset lifestyle. Everything is a 'show' in showbusiness, and the lyrics "my dreams are the same as my problems" ring very true indeed.
Mirroring the slightly depressed and deflated vibes of the track, the cinematography switches from beauty lighting and flattering composition to moody, dimly-lit scenes, unearthing the brutal reality of a life that isn't quite what it seems.Â
