Eloise 'Enough' by Nicolee Tsin

Rob Ulitski - 2nd July 2021

Nicolee Tsin directs a breezy performance visual for Eloise's Enough.

A fixed, high-angle camera captures Eloise across several pastel-hued studio setups, as she sings and moves in a mesmerisingly understated manner.

The use of shaped lighting adds an extra sense of texture and depth to the concept, creating an alluring aesthetic fit for the pages of a fashion magazine.

NICOLEE TSIN:

It was about conveying the feeling of wanting to be seen and heard by a partner.

"I wanted this to be a stripped-down, one-angle, visual piece, that allows us to sink into Eloise’s poignant sounds and lyrics. The immediate colours that came to mind when I heard the track was pink, yellow, and black.

"I think more than anything it was just about conveying the feeling of wanting to be seen and heard by a partner, that is through the contrast between the vibrant colours and shadow.

"As Eloise sings 'playing a game of chase and catch', 'I think you like it better when you didn't know where I was', she's once again sunk into the dark side of this incompetent love."
