Cat Burns 'Into You' by Anna Fearon

Anna Fearon directs a love story in reverse for Cat Burns' Into You.Â
Exploring the addictive rush of a blossoming relationship, the video cycles through several vignettes of two lovers hanging out - but in reverse.Â
It's a simple trick, but works beautifully for this concept, and the two main actors help add a level of authenticity to the story, which makes the connection that much more believable.Â
The cinematography adds a dreamlike haze to the visuals, reflecting the novelty that comes with getting to know a new person in an intimate way, and the excitement of the journey to come.Â
ANNA FEARON:
My concept is depicting a cinematic story of young black love.
"To me the song evoked that nervous excitement of meeting someone you like and your mind imagines a whole future with this person, even though its just the early stages.
"My concept for the film is depicting a cinematic story of young black love. A classic love story but with a difference -Â filmed and then reversed, so that the film ends at the beginning of this potential relationship with the protagonist's phone in hand debating whether to call her love interest."Â
