Thomas James directs a dark and twisted tale of a serial killer cab driver, in his promo for Lucy Blue’s Taxi Driver.
Oozing a sense of nostalgia in the styling and look across the anachronistic set pieces - with definite nods to Scorsese's masterpiece of the same name - the visual doesn't cross the line into true horror, yet manages to create an uncomfortable, overarching sense of dread in every frame.
Thomas James brings his customary verve to this story of a disturbed young woman - and Lucy Blue is brilliant in her role as a stalker, and the blurred boundary between infatuation and insanity is masterfully conceptualised.
