Addressing a subject that's all too rarely featured in the medium of music video, singer-songwriter Manizha celebrates her pregnancy in this thoroughly entertaining promo directed by her partner, Lado Kvataniya.
Manizha demonstrates that her baby bump is no obstacle to creative wardrobe choices, or a music video-worthy choreography routine, in a series of imaginative set-ups filmed in various locations in the republic of Georgia. She runs this show with character and deadpan humour, while playfully subverting a few video tropes along the way. The art direction is great too.
Excellent work from Kvataniya and Manizha that gets behind the idea that an impending birth is a time of joy - and puts a smile on your face.
