After discovering her husband’s unfaithful ways, the film concludes with the wife character becoming liberated by her own sexuality, rather than a victim to the scandal.A modern retelling of the spectacle of cabaret, Sigismondi&nbsp;has drawn upon her&nbsp;upbringing for this - she was born to Italian opera singer parents, and grew up amid the theatrical and the avant-garde&nbsp;- and applied her&nbsp;trademark cinematic style previously seen in her award-winning work for the likes of Gucci, Rihanna, David Bowie, and Justin Timberlake.Choreographed by French dance collective (LA)HORDE, who are famed for their ability to develop scenarios and actions that take up radically contemporary themes and questions, the seductive music video is a visual feast led by a diverse and queer cast.With references to French surrealist photographer Claude Cahun and noted corset maker of the late 20th Century, Mr. Pearl, the video’s costume designer Lisa Jarvis created an impressive range of otherworldly looks for the enormous ensemble, who were cast&nbsp;by Hannah Ashby Ward at Lane Casting (an LGBTQ+ owned company) to showcase&nbsp;real, diverse and unapologetic bodies.&nbsp;Floria Sigismondi, Director, comments: “I grew up in the world of theatre and opera. This film presented the platform for me to reach deep into that history. It was important to me to bring the theatrics and drama to the film while also giving it a modern feel. We were not interested in creating a period piece. We wanted to create our own world. The theatre and setting gave us the history of cabaret but the costumes broadened that and injected a modern element. For me it's a celebration of the LGBTQ+ community and creating that celebration was the most important and joyous experience."Jannie McInnes, Executive Producer at Scheme Engine, adds: “The creative excellence and expression across departments on this project completely blew my mind. Floria sets a high bar, inspires people to bring their most creative selves and she wants everyone to have fun doing it. Sammy Rawal directs voguing diva&nbsp;Honey Balenciaga, as a magical chef, creating wonders in the kitchen,&nbsp;in this branded music video for the Kelis-performed&nbsp;Square It - part of a new campaign by&nbsp;leading cheese brand Kraft Singles.In this fast-paced mash-up of voguing and cookery, Honey - star of the HBO reality show Legendary - self-multiplies to make herself as super-creative as possible, while also making impressive moves&nbsp;to the track which was created in a team up with ad agency Johannes Leonardo and maverick singer-songwriter and foodie Kelis.This is described as part of a companywide 'anti-advertising' effort by Kraft Heinz, as a way to modernise its brands, and also a way to celebrate the growth of the Kraft Singles brand during the pandemic - it registered double digit growth for the first time in five years. In preparing to make the video for Square It, Rawal pitched his idea - including&nbsp;the casting of Honey Balenciaga&nbsp;- to the creative team at Johannes Leonardo.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;“From the first briefing, I was in love with the idea and I really vibed with the JL creatives—we shared a lot of references," says Rawal.&nbsp;“My vision was to cast the legendary voguing diva herself, Honey Balenciaga, in an absurd story about a cook hard at work who transforms into a culinary Goddess capable of telekinesis and multiplying herself on command."That everyone embraced my pitch for the video to star a queer talent for a campaign totally unrelated to Pride was incredibly refreshing."

Christian Padron directs a short music film for&nbsp;Samora Pinderhughes.&nbsp;Masculinity&nbsp;is the&nbsp;the first release from&nbsp;composer Samora Pinderhughes'&nbsp;album Grief, and is part of the on-going collaboration between the director and artist&nbsp;under The Healing Project - a multidisciplinary response to trauma from structural violence."This film explores how different conceptions of manhood show up in body, language, and sound. Vulnerability is the center of this piece." Padron says.&nbsp;The documentary-style aesthetic explores masculinity in different characters and forms, and how the idea of 'manliness'&nbsp;is instilled from a young age. Spanning a range of tender vignettes, the video feels authentic and human, and this is reflected in the casting and location choices.&nbsp;"We wanted to have representations from various generations, from elders to babies, to think about how we're raised, what society teaches us, and how we reveal ourselves over time,” Padron continues.&nbsp;The film for Masculinity follows the short film Process, winner of the Audience Award for Best Experimental Film at BlackStar Film Festival, and Grief, a music and film commission by Carnegie Hall.
